“We recently hired Amy Harding to produce a thirty-minute video documentary and two other video shorts to help us tell the story of Stageworks Northwest. As a result I worked closely with her during the 90-day process. I highly recommend Amy Harding as an employee for the following reasons: First, she has excellent communication skills: she listens, clarifies, analyzes and summarizes complex exchanges. She translates general and often vague instructions and is able to act on those instructions to generate timely and exceptional work product. Second, Amy possesses an exceptional work ethic. She is prompt, prepared and ready to work. She takes excellent notes in meetings. She follows through with everything she commits to do. Her editing skills are excellent. She is patient, quiet and determined, possessing a good sense of humor, yet a no nonsense professional approach towards production. Third, Amy is intuitive and very bright. Any organization seeking to hire someone who can quickly synthesize the needs of an organization or supervisor into action should take a second look. She would also be a strong asset because she is capable of moving up in any organization she affiliates with. Finally, many organizations and executives need a dependable person with strong technological competencies. Amy masters the technology around her. While working with her in the production of our documentary she easily managed the ‘geeky’ issues while demonstrating very strong emotional intelligence. We are grateful to have had the benefit of her abilities as an interviewer, and a cinematographer.”

“I was Amy’s supervisor during her internship as the Multimedia Lab intern with Electronic Media at The Evergreen State College during the 2011-2012 academic year. I worked very closely with Amy that year and I was very impressed by her work. In the Multimedia Lab she assisted students, staff and faculty and taught workshops in the use of media equipment and software. She worked with patrons with a wide variety of skill levels and was always helpful and courteous. In addition to her responsibilities in the Multimedia Lab, Amy worked on a variety of audio and video productions. She set up audio systems and was a camera operator on remote events. In our television studio she worked with the switcher, lighting, character generator and in media engineering. Amy has always been reliable, motivated and able to work independently. She did an excellent job of keeping me informed of problems and issues in the lab and completed her duties with minimal supervision.”
-Aaron Kruse, Multimedia Lab Manager at The Evergreen State College

“Amy enrolled in our Radio Training Program and after completing all the classes, joined our student staff ‘team’ as a valuable office manager and front desk assistant. This position is vital as it is often the first person that folks meet as they come in the door of KAOS, whether they are students of Evergreen or potential community volunteers. Amy has strong ideas that she can make positive and uplifting messages with words, music and video, and in doing so, she will make the community stronger in both thought and actions. Amy has worked using these resources available to her via production and collaboration to create a video ‘overview’ of KAOS, which we now use in our Orientation Trainings with all incoming volunteers. Amy’s video helps us focus on the history of KAOS, as well as teaching folks how through radio they can create both political & ideological change in the world…I have definitely appreciated Amy’s spirit and enthusiasm for the work she does as well as her desire for doing things ‘right.'”
-Ruth Brownstein, Training & Operations Manager at KAOS Community Radio

“Amy is a hard-working, dependable, and talented student. She took very good advantage of the learning opportunities for class, maintained excellent attendance, put serious effort into both the theoretical and production components of the program, and participated constructively in collaborative projects. As a result of listening carefully and taking good notes, her skill and confidence in several media formats increased. Amy shows a clear passion for learning, and talent for developing her own unique aesthetic approach to media assignments and applying it to her work.”

“Amy is an exceptionally hard-working and responsible student in our Nonfiction Media class. Entering our program with a background in music performance and media, Amy has immersed herself in all aspects of our work together and completed some challenging projects. Amy has demonstrated her ability to work independently, most notably on a very successful video self-representation project, as well as in collaboration with other students…In the last few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to work especially close with Amy as she participated in the CCAM studio alongside her classmates. We’ve been producing short pieces in an atmosphere in which collaboration, good communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential requirements. Amy has flourished in this atmosphere. She is a highly competent and versatile student, who eagerly takes on new challenges. She has not only worked to develop her own skills and further her project group’s work, but she has kept an eye on her less experienced classmates, and made valuable suggestions about how to support their learning in this challenging technical environment.”
-Anne Fischel, Nonfiction Media Professor at The Evergreen State College (2010-2011)

“Amy is a very bright and thorough student. Her grades reflect her diligence, but they only tell part of the story. Amy is able to take on projects and shape them into excellent work…Amy shows great strength in her ability to plan, make critical decisions and to work within limitations of time and resources to complete projects…She has the ability to work individually or to be a dependable member of a group.”

“Amy is a remarkable and dependable student. She is very bright, thoughtful, self-directed, positive, responsible, and highly motivated. Last year, I asked Amy to take charge in filming our opera production [The Marriage of Figaro]. Amy has done a marvelous job! She helped film the production and created a documentary about the opera behind the scenes, consisting of interviews with the cast and director, as well as rehearsal scenes. The DVD is the most professionally produced show that I have seen anywhere. It has better quality than professionally produced shows. As an artist, I was also impressed with her artistic sensitivity. Amy is one of the most hard-working students that I have ever worked with. I can trust her to complete tasks well. She has been a great asset to our school.”
-Ken Hakoda, Professor and Chair of the Music Department at Kansas Wesleyan University
